Meaningful Links with Receiving Institutions: Their Development and Maintenance

Abstract

Meaningful links in transfer policies are those that allow a "seamless" transition between the sending and receiving institutions. This article briefly describes the development of transfer policies at Kingsborough Community College and the City University of New York , and presents a six-part cyclical articulation process that may prove useful for other community colleges in their attempts to evaluate and develop their own links with receiving institutions.
