Keywords:
Higher Education, Service Learning, Employability of AdolescentsAbstract
This study describes the relationship between structured service-learning, through Maryland's replication models, and the attainment of employability skills for adolescents. Employability skills were measured against competencies from the Secretary's Commission on Attaining Necessary Skills. Findings indicate that employability skills were evident in the most frequently used models. Implications for the expansion of service-learning models, teacher training in colleges and universities, and linkages with businesses are discussed.Downloads
