Keywords:
Higher Education, Branch Campuses, FacultyAbstract
Faculty characteristics have major impacts on the teaching and learning environment at branch campuses. A national study of branch campus administrators conducted in 1998-99 highlights issues arising from the disparity in faculty composition associated with the various forms of branch campus organization. The authors describe a faculty environment that is at once anonymous and autonomous in relation to the larger, dominant institution in a multi-campus system.Downloads
