The Department's Role in Improvement of Educational Programs

Abstract

Assessors, faculty, and administrators at metropolitan universities face many unique challenges when assessing instructional programs and educational support services. The purpose of this article is to explore the assessment and improvement of educational programs and administrative services at metropolitan colleges and universities. The task requires an understanding of five important assessmentrelated issues with three key implications for metropolitan institutions in particular.
