Barriers to Quality Distance Education

This article describes many of the barriers to the effective use of televised instruction and suggests ways of overcoming them. It is based on the extensive experience with programs for schools of the Arts and Sciences Teleconferencing Service (ASTS) at Oklahoma State University, but most of the issues are equally applicable to all distance learning by means of television.Downloads
