Students at Metropolitan Universities: Viewing Involvement through Different Lenses

This article examines the concept of student involvement at metropolitan universities. Based on the College Experiences Study, this report discusses the influences of institutional history, student affairs staff experiences, and the multiple role commitments of metropolitan university students on student involvement in experiences outside the classroom. Suggestions and recommendations for enhancing these experiences are offered.Downloads
