About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Events and Tourism Review (ETR) is a universal journal for events, tourism, and hospitality publications. It intends to provide a global platform for innovative and applied studies that make a significant contribution to the practice and development of events and tourism products and services. ETR publishes and promotes up-to-date quality reviews, case studies, and articles. It also serves as a unique forum for the publication of noteworthy events, tourism, and hospitality-related conference report from the global communities.
ETR promotes and enhances research developments in the fields of events and tourism. It aims to advance the delivery of events, tourism and hospitality products and services by stimulating the submission of papers from both industry practitioners and academic researchers. The scope of the journal is international and welcomes submissions based upon both primary research and reviews. ETR invites contributions related to the following subjects in events, tourism, and hospitality: Consumer behavior; crisis management; destination marketing; economics; education; entrepreneurship; ethics; health and wellbeing; financial management; food operations; IT applications; leadership; management; planning and design; public relations; risk management; sales and marketing; social media; sustainability; technology; and industrial trends.

Events and Tourism Review is published by the Events and Tourism Institute at Indiana University Indianapolis. This journal is hosted and supported by the University Library.
Review Process
All ETR’s manuscript submissions are followed by an initial review by the Editor, and, if found suitable for ETR’s stakeholders, it is accompanied by peer review by experts in the same fields. All peer review is double-blind and submission is online.
Publication Frequency
Events and Tourism Review publishes one issue annually.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain the copyright to works published in Events and Tourism Review. Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their work online in institutional repositories or on their personal websites. Works published in this journal are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
