Abstract

The article discusses the constructivist 5E Learning Cycle and provides an example of how this framework can be used in library instruction around teaching a single concept in depth.  Strengths and weaknesses of the 5E Learning Cycle are discussed.

Eric Snajdr is an Assistant Librarian in the sciences at University Library, Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis.  He received his MLS from Indiana University Bloomington, his Master of Arts in Teaching (Science) and B.A. in Zoology from Miami University, Ohio.
