Library Outreach as a Partner for the Early Childhood Educator

Abstract

This article discusses the efforts of the Indianapolis Public Library to build a community of readers, beginning with our youngest patrons. It contains a discussion about why outreach services was redesigned to target children in the care of small, at-risk home childcare centers. Implementation, training, and evaluation methods are also highlighted.
